Welcome to TaySci.co.uk!

Believe it or not, Tayside is a world class location for research in the biological sciences, a major site of biotechnology industry and an important region for computer games design. The university town of St Andrews in Fife also produces a wealth of scientific research.

This makes Tayside an ideal source of writing talent to communicate science in an exciting way to the people of our region.

We hope that TaySci will stimulate your interest in science and bring you an alternative look at a wide variety of topics in science and technology.

TaySci.co.uk is currently under construction, but please bookmark us and keep checking back, because TaySci is updated daily. We anticipate our official launch to be in early 2009.

TaySci is a non-commercial and not-for-profit venture supported by a number of local individuals and organisations including Sensation Science Centre in Dundee



BioDundee, which is a Dundee City Council organisation.



and TechFest-SetPoint, which is a charitable organisation which aims to inspire young people about Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

TaySci has already succesfully recruited several writers but we are looking for other Tayside-based scientists to write articles for the site. Please see the Writers Wanted section for more details.
